A day, struck out.
What your team redoes every day, then what is left of it: approving, deciding, signing off.
The film, in text
- 01Monday, 8 am. A supplier invoice arrives: read the email, read the attachment, find the supplier, set the due date, rename the invoice. Then the next one, faster and faster, until 6 pm: 90 tasks.
- 02An orange line strikes out the whole day, line after line, the clock and the counter included. Everything disappears.
- 03What is left: approve what's certain, decide what isn't. Two invoices are prepared; the person approves them. A third has two possible suppliers; the person chooses.
- 04A prospect writes: they are looking for a two-bedroom flat near the centre and suggest a viewing on Saturday. Six tasks before the reply: find who is writing, type up their record, extract their criteria, compare against the catalogue, find a slot, write the reply. They are struck out one by one.
- 05A draft is ready: two properties match, two slots on Saturday. The person approves it. Then the viewing and the offer.
- 06Not your job anymore. Then the name: Not Your Job.
